It has been so lovely to return to school and catch up with everyone and pick up on our learning ready for the huge term ahead of us.
We rounded off our work on Multiplication by learning some new games which developed our skills in multiplication and division. Playing games with different partners broadens our friendship groups and allows us to teach others new skills.
We have been working on Narrative texts, planning ideas, developing sizzling starts and using better words than SAID. Adding extra detail to our writing to make it engaging for our audience is so important. We have also been working on improving our PUNCTUATION and being responsible for doing this rather than someone SAVING them by correcting it. Mila D’s piece of writing was a real WAGOLL (WHAT A GOOD ONE LOOKS LIKE) including her very neat setting out and use of interesting vocabulary. Noah N has been writing an amazing book which he has been reading to the class using wonderful expressing and delighting us with some very humorous, creative ideas and drawings.
Speaking of drawings…we have a small display of Art work which was created by a number of students in our Remote Learning sessions. Art is such a fabulous way of expressing our feelings and creativity.
During Remote Learning, Hazel’s family hatched chickens in their incubator. The chickens came to visit the classroom and it a lovely start to the day (not sure if the chickens felt this way!) It was amazing to see the development of the new feathers and the combs on their heads. We didn’t realise that chickens had such skinny legs.
