Foster

Our Primary School is an important part of Foster. The students are involved in occasions such as the Foster Show, Clean Up Australia, Meals on Wheels and Art exhibitions. The school is a member of the Foster Community Association

as well as the Prom Coast Health Promotion Alliance

We are supporters of our local Amateur Dramatic Group; our students and parents are often involved in the productions.

Volunteers

Foster Primary School values the input of parents, carers, family and friends.

An extra pair of hands is often needed in all of our classrooms (Prep-Grade 6) – maybe to hear reading, help with editing or typing pieces of writing, working with small groups.

Volunteers are also needed to help in the Kitchen and Garden classes, on excursions and camps.

All Volunteers are required to have a current Working With Children Check.  This is a cost free process for our volunteers.  The Forms which need to be completed are available at the Post Office.  We also ask that our Volunteers complete an OHS Induction at the beginning of the year (or at the start of their volunteering term).

Parents wishing to help with School Camps are also required to have a current Police Check, which can be done through the School Office.

Another way to help is by joining School Council or one of the sub committees such as Fund Raising.
